Cecil Bernard Patterson, a beloved husband, father, and dedicated Army veteran, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, at his home in La Jara, CO at the age of 77. Born on June 30, 1947, in Corsicana, TX, Cecil leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and country.
Throughout his life, Cecil demonstrated a remarkable work ethic, earning a High School Diploma before embarking on a successful career as a Fabricator in the Iron Works industry. His commitment to excellence and craftsmanship shone through in all that he did, earning him the respect and admiration of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Cecil served his country with honor and distinction in the Army, enlisting on August 9, 1966, and proudly serving until his discharge on July 21, 1968. His dedication to his fellow service members and his unwavering patriotism were a testament to his character and values.
Cecil's memory will be cherished by his loving spouse, Patricia Patterson, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, daughter Kim Ann Dorris, granddaughter, Tegan Marie (Parrish) Baltimore, great granchildren, Lexicon Payne Acosta, Josiah Wayne Fisher, Jeremiah Wayne Fisher, son James Patrick Dorris, grandson, Eric Patrick Dorris, daughter, Ericka Keefe, son, Raymond Robert Rutzen, granddaughter, Kathleen Elizabeth (Frankie) Anzaluda, great grandchildren, Dom Anzaluda, Christian Anzaluda, Naomi Anzaluda and Essa Anzaluda, son, Cecil Aaron (Kimberly) Patterson grandchildren, Alyssa Brooke Patterson, Aaron Joseph Patterson, Christopher Ray Patterson, Malachi Bernanrd Patterson, Samson Ray Patterson, Elisabeth Viola Patterson, James Raymond Patterson, Lance Michael Patterson, daughter Melissa (Ashley Paul) Wetwiski, grandchildren, Jonah Michael (Bailey), Reese James (Rebecca) Wetwiski, great grandchildren, Korben Allen Wetwiski as well as a host of extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Cremation was selected and a family service will be held at a later time.
Cecil Bernard Patterson will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, steadfast commitment to family, and his selfless service to his country. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
