Delfino Armenta

Delfino Anthony Armenta, 58, was born in Alamosa, Colorado on August 6, 1966. He was born to Delfino E. Armenta and Mary Evelyn Tapia.

Anthony loved the outdoors. If he could go fishing, he would be found at the lake. He also had a love of sports. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and the New York Yankees. He was able to attend a Yankees game when they came to Colorado. He was an avid concert goer. In his life time, he attended many concerts but his favorite was AC/DC.

He also enjoyed being in front of a grill flipping a burger to cooking a steak. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Anthony is survived by his mother Mary Evelyn Tapia, brother David Tapia(Mindy), sisters Valerie Day(Keith), and Rosemary Armenta(Frank), nieces Bridget Clark(Jeremy), Nicki Tapia, Heidi Garrett, Ashley Flores(Chris), Danielle Steward(Billy), Brittney Bustos, great-nieces Emily Ellithorpe, Avery Ellithorpe, Brooklyn Clark, Samantha Flores, Charlotte Flores great-nephews Ethan Ellithorpe(Katy), Aiden Clark, Wyatt Wolfe, Liam Steward and great-great niece Oakley Ellithorpe.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Delfino Armenta, maternal grandparents, Avelino and Rose Tapia, paternal grandparents, Alfonso and Emilia Armenta and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday February 14, 2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Interment of ashes will follow the services in the Monte Vista Cemetery. To express condolences, please visit www.mvmortuary.com
