Ricky Lee Shaw, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 57. He was born on October 7, 1967, in Alamosa, Colorado.

Ricky was a proud graduate of Sargent High School, Class of 1986, he possessed a wealth of wisdom and a heart of gold. He made his mark in the retail sales industry, where his natural charm, diligent work ethic, and quick wit endeared him to customers and colleagues alike.

Ricky is survived by his father, Arthur Shaw; his mother, Judy Shaw; and his son, Clifford "Cliff" Shaw, along with his daughter-in-law, Amanda Chapman-Shaw, and his beloved grandchildren, Tegan Chapman-Shaw and Tyler Chapman. He is also survived by his brothers, Chris and Richard Shaw as well as his nieces and nephew; Samantha, Alyssa, Mandy, Desta, Keisha and Zachary, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and extended family, who will fondly remember Ricky's infectious laugh and playful spirit.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal and Herbert Baker.

Ricky was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, a passion that brought joy and camaraderie into his life. He was often found enjoying a can of Diet Dr. Pepper while sharing stories and laughter with loved ones. His love for the outdoors shaped many of his happiest memories, whether he was fishing, hunting, or simply exploring with his son and nieces. Ricky's hands-on approach to life extended to his beloved truck, which he enjoyed working on with dedication and pride.

Known for his playful sense of humor and genuine kindness, Ricky had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel special. He embraced the joy of life and was always the first to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word.

A celebration of Ricky's life and legacy will be held in the summer, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and reflect on the deep impact he had on all who knew him.
